What really happens to roofs over time?
The concrete roof tiles are generally coated with a type of
coloured slurry and then a clear glaze to protect them. With time, the weather etches away the glaze exposing the slurry colour
(You will notice this if you rub the tiles and look at your fingers). This could also mean the tiles are absorbing some water which tends to cause more movement. This will then break the ridge pointing and possibly the ridge bedding. At this point the ridge tiles could become loose and in strong winds can easily been blown off.
Loose tiles can and have been fatal.

Returning your roof to as good as new with 21st century safety standards can be made to look easy by professionals. The worker/s slave away at cleaning, bedding, pointing, changing tiles and resurfacing roofs until they are returned to their former glory. Rooftop Restorations uses the latest proven products to rejuvenate your roof (see more information about our products via the about us -page).

Bedding and pointing

Firstly a polymer flexible pointing is used and then two heavy colour coats (made in Queensland for our Queensland conditions). The coatings will stop the deterioration of the tile surface and are available in the largest range of colours so as to enhance the appearance and value of your home.
